Graz University of Technology (TU Graz) warmly congratulates Stefanie Lindstaedt on her election as the designated founding president of the Institute of Digital Science Austria (IDSA) in Linz.

After her habilitation in applied computer science at TU Graz in 2010, Lindstaedt became head of the then Institute of Knowledge Management and Knowledge Technologies in 2011. When this merged with the Institute of Information Systems and Computer Media to form the Institute of Interactive Systems and Data Science in 2017, she took over as Institute head. In addition, since 2011 she has been the CEO of Know Center GmbH, an innovation and research centre for trustworthy AI and data science located on the TU Graz campus, in which TU Graz holds a 50 percent stake.
Stefanie Lindstaedt began her academic career at TU Darmstadt, where she completed her Bachelor of Science in computer science in 1991. She completed her Master of Science (1993) and PhD (1998) at the University of Colorado Boulder. This was followed by positions at Daimler Chrysler in Ulm (1998 to 2000) and at the start-up GlobalSight, before she finally joined Know Center GmbH in Graz as a senior manager in 2001.
