Accessibility Statement jobs.tugraz.at

Status: [03.10.2024]

Graz University of Technology (TU Graz) is committed to making its websites accessible in accordance with the federal law regarding barrier-free access to websites und mobile applications (Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz – WZG [Web Accessibility Act]) BGBl. I. No. 59/2019 as amended.

This accessibility statement applies to the website https:/jobs.tugraz.at/en

Measures for barrier-free accessibility

TU Graz takes the following measures to ensure the barrier-free accessibility of its websites:

  • Website accessibility is part of technical, graphical and editorial guidelines.
  • We have structured the content of our website in such a way that clear headings and well-organised paragraphs and tables are used.
  • All interactive elements of our website are designed so that they can be operated entirely via the keyboard.
  • When you press the tab key for the first time, we offer you a mode for ‘Better display with screen reader’.

Compliance status according to the requirements

This website is partially compliant with Conformance Level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines - WCAG 2.1.

Non-accessible content

The content listed below is only partially accessible or is non-accessible for the following reasons:

  • Alt texts: Some images do not yet have descriptive alt texts, which means that screen reader users cannot grasp the content of the images.
  • Missing or incomplete labelling on forms: Some form fields and drop-down menus are not labelled correctly. As a result, screen readers cannot clearly identify the fields and input problems occur.
  • Tables: Some tables used to display structured information are difficult for screen readers to access. This is because they are only partially correctly labelled as semantic tables, but this severely restricts the reading flow of screen reader software due to the amount of data.
  • Icons: A few interactive elements such as buttons are not fully labelled, which means that screen reader software cannot identify the semantic content of the element.

Preparation of this Accessibility Statement

This statement was prepared on [03.10.2024] and is updated regularly.

This statement was prepared based on a self-assessment carried out by TU Graz.

Plans have been made to regularly self-test the websites for compliance with WCAG 2.1 guidelines.

Enforcement procedure

If the response received from the contact person named above is not satisfactory, you may file a complaint with the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG). The FFG accepts complaints filed online via the electronic contact form (German).

The FFG will examine whether the complaint relates to violations of the Web Accessibility Act (Web-Zugänglichkeits-Gesetz - WZG), and particularly to a failure on the part of TU Graz or associated institutions to comply with the accessibility requirements

If the complaint is justified, the FFG will provide recommendations for further action to TU Graz or the legal entities concerned and propose measures designed to remedy the problem.
