Together with my match at the University of Strathclyde, Jonathan Draper, we are doing research in the field of Refill Friction Stir Spot Welding of wrought and 3D-printed aluminium alloys.

In September 2022, I had the opportunity to stay at UoS for a three-week research visit (Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering). It was great to collaborate with the colleagues there. The insights into their research infrastructure led to new ideas for future investigations and projects. The research stay was very rewarding and will further strengthen the collaboration within the project team and the strategic partnership.
