Leila Taher, born 1978 in Santa Fe (Argentina), is a bioinformatician. She develops mathematical and informatics methods to support biomedical research. She is currently Assistant Professor of Bioinformatics in the Department of Biology at the Friedrich-Alexander University of Erlangen-Nuremberg (FAU). The focus of her research group is the investigation of the function of non-coding sequences in the human genome.
Eduardo Veas is a professor for intelligent and adaptive user interfaces at Graz University of Technology since September 2019. Before becoming a professor, he was Research Manager of the Knowledge Visualization Area at Know-Center GmbH. He was also research fellow of the Institute of Interactive Systems and Data Science (TU Graz), and research fellow of CONICET. His interests lie in the field of human computer interaction, in particular studying human aware computing and cognitive aspects of data exploration in visual analytics, virtual and augmented reality interfaces.
