Your residence title depends on the length and purpose of your planned stay. You should select the title that is appropriate to the desired length and purpose of your stay.
EU/EEA and Swiss Nationals: no visa required for entry (passport or personal identity card required). Please report to the national authority (Local Styrian Government, Department 3 – Residence and Security / "Land Steiermark, Abteilung 3 – Referat Aufenthalts- und Sicherheitswesen") within 3 months and apply for registration ("Anmeldebescheinigung"). Third Country Nationals (non EU/EEA or Swiss): please enquire at the Austrian Embassy or Consulate for more information on your entry and residence requirements.

Please apply for your entry and residence titles in good time. It may take a long time until your application is processed. Arrange for an appointment with the Austrian Representative Authority as soon as possible and ask which documents to bring along.
