Curriculum (German only)

As a managing director, I wanted to deepen my knowledge of business administration. Current business aspects of digitalisation are also highly relevant to me. In the MBA programme Leadership in Digital Transformation, I am consolidating and expanding the essential entrepreneurial tools I need for my company, while staying open and up to date in the digital sphere. I particularly appreciate the opportunities for specialisation and the transfer projects, which allow me to address business-related questions as part of my studies. Another major advantage of this part-time programme is the personalised approach: the individual life and work situations of each student are taken into account, and solutions are sought for any scheduling conflicts.

The MBA programme was truly enriching, both professionally and personally.
The lecturers were excellent – knowledgeable, practice-oriented, and always in touch with the latest developments.
The focus on current topics made the experience particularly engaging. Both the core and specialisation modules offered practical insights that can be directly applied in day-to-day professional life.
Another highlight was the networking: exchanging ideas with colleagues from a wide variety of backgrounds made it especially valuable.
The course itself was exceptionally well organised and supported by the programme management.

Content and Focus

The MBA programme consists of the following modules:

BASIC MODULES (are not offered in 2026)

Fundamentals in Management

  • General Management
  • Strategic Management
  • Business Administration
  • Accounting and Controlling

Fundamentals in Computer Science

  • Introduction to Computer Science
  • Data Science and Management
  • Software Engineering
  • Applied Engineering and AI

For the core modules, you can either choose the fundamentals of management or the fundamentals of computer science, or you can combine individual modules from different ‘Fundamentals’ streams. A total of 4 modules must be selected.

CORE MODULES

Digital Transformation (compulsory modules)

You must complete all modules in the core modules section.

SPECIALISATION MODULES

Select a specialisation relevant to you from the fields of application below and complete the three corresponding modules. Click on the link to find out more.

In addition, you must write a Master’s thesis in which you can address your business-related research questions.

You can also enroll in individual modules of the program as university courses, subject to availability.

Teaching and learning methods

The part-time university programme has a modular structure, and teaching is carried out in the form of blended learning (combination of distance learning and presence teaching sessions).

The modular form of the blocked courses helps meet the needs of working students, with extra support provided by the upstream distance learning elements. As a rule, only one presence block every two to three month is required, from Monday 9 a.m. to Friday 5 p.m. A virtual teaching and learning environment (TeachCenter) also offers students the opportunity to network with lecturers and fellow students outside the presence sessions.

A transfer phase following the presence phase concludes the content of the respective module.

The broad range of services is geared toward meeting the current needs of the companies. The focus and holistic approach are unique in Austria and in the European environment - Life Long Learning sees itself as a digital transformation hub.

With our new offer in the field of digital transformation, we want to invite you, your company and your organisations to set off on the road that leads to the digital world and empower you so that you can properly take advantage of new opportunities.
