Friday 13th April 2018 – no bad luck, just a concentrated blast of research. TU Graz offers 30 stations to participate in and be amazed at at the Long Night of Research for big and small.

The TU Graz opens its doors to interested visitors at the Long Night of Research on 13 April.
At the Long Night of Research, research institutes all over Austria open the doors to their laboratories and workshops to bring the exciting world of science closer to interested visitors. In 2018, too, TU Graz is part of the Austria-wide event and cordially invites the interested or curious.

A night of amazement

It starts at 5pm. 30 stations along with demonstrations, workshops and personal talks centered on the colourful world of science await you at TU Graz Campus Inffeldgasse in the Graz St. Peter district. From robots with finger-tip precision and virtual sand castles via 3D printing of metal and floating concrete canoes to the speed of light of a chocolate bar and nanosatellite missions: the spectrum of exhibits at TU Graz is as diverse as it is thrilling. Another TU Graz exhibit – ‘what makes buildings sustainable and how should we build them in the future?’ is located away from the Campus in the Science Tower in Waagner-Biro-Strasse.

Entry is of course free of charge. Special, free-of-charge shuttle buses will shuttle you from one station to the next with Jakominiplatz as point of departure.
The Long Night of Research is taking place this year for the eight time. In 2016, some 136,000 visitors took advantage of the colourful programme from Austrian science organisations.
