The next BioTechMed-Graz Science Breakfast, Arno Eichberger from the Institute of Automotive Engineering at the Graz University of Technology (TU Graz), head of the research area Vehicle Dynamics will give a lecture on the topic „Self Driving Cars: Still a vision or future to become reality?“.Electrification of automotive powertrains and vehicle automation are global megatrends in the automotive industry. Vehicle automation aims at increased vehicle safety, driver comfort, new mobility concepts, efficiency of vehicles and the transport system and support of elderly and handicapped people.
The lecture presents the history of vehicle automation, main motivations but also challenges for market introduction and a vision of the future.
