Workshop on Dependable Wireless Communications and Localization for the IoT

Art

  • Symposium

Themenbereich

  • Information Communication & Computing (Field of Expertise)

This workshop will place its focus on wireless technologies that play a key role in connecting IoT-devices to the Internet. Wireless technologies can also be used for localization, a capability providing context information between physical devices and the virtual world. Physical and man-made impairments (e.g., multipath propagation and radio interference) have a strong influence on the dependability of these wireless services, which thus has become an important research topic.

Workshop

The Dependable Wireless Communications and Localization for the IoT Workshop is a single-day, single-track event, organized under the umbrellas of the COST Action IRACON and the Lead Project of TU Graz "Dependable Internet of Things in Adverse Environments".

Keynote Speaker

The workshop will include keynote presentations by
  • Henk Wymeersch (Chalmers University, Sweden) and
  • Jean-Marie Gorce (University of Lyon, France).
A preliminary workshop program can be found online.

Important Dates

  • Registration deadline: September 1, 2017
  • Dependable Wireless Workshop: September 12, 2017
  • Participation is free of charge, but registration is required at the symposium website by Sept. 1, 2017.
