As welding is a significant process in the production of virtually any product ranging from cell phone and computers in the small scale up to transportation, energy production or infrastructure in general, it is evident that is plays a crucial role in a modern society. Knowledge of the basics in materials science and the welding technology is therefore indispensable for companies to develop new products ensuring improvements and maintain competitiveness in a very dynamic market in different industry sectors.
