The Call for Papers for the 16th Symposium Energy Innovation has been published.

From February 12th to 14th, Graz University of Technology (TU Graz) will host the 16th Symposium Energy Innovation. The symposium is organized by the Institute of Electricity Economics and Energy Innovation (IEE) of TU Graz together with the Austrian Electrotechnical Association (OVE), OesterreichsEnergie (Association of Austrian Electricity Companies) and the Austrian National Committee of the World Energy Council. The topic of this year's event is:

"ENERGY FOR FUTURE - Ways Towards Climate Neutrality".

The current climate report of the World Weather Organization points to the last five years as the hottest period since the beginning of measurement 150 years ago. Above all, a movement initiated and supported by the younger generation calls for appropriate measures. The entire energy sector and above all the increasingly important area of electrical energy will play a key role in the future. On the basis of the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN and the Climate Change Conference in Paris, measures and ways of climate neutrality are being discussed on many levels (eg Clean Energy Package, #mission2030, Climate Protection Act). Whether and, above all, ways in which climate neutrality can be achieved from an energy management point of view will be discussed intensively in the context of this symposium on the basis of the following topics:

  1. Future of Renewable Energy
  2. Flexibility of Application and Demand
  3. Electricity Market
  4. Transport and Distribution Systems
  5. Energy Storage
  6. Energy Efficiency: Traffic, Buildings, Economy
  7. Methods, Instruments and Models

We invite you to submit a short version by December 1st, 2019. We are pleased to announce that the participation fee for this three-day symposium will continue to be 300 € for the speakers and has therefore remained the same for 14 years. For more information, please refer to the Call for Papers.
