Job Advertisement: Postdoctoral Researcher in Metal-Organic Framework Biocomposites
Position Overview: The Falcaro Group at Graz University of Technology, Austria, is excited to offer a Postdoctoral Researcher position focused on the cutting-edge field of metal-organic framework (MOF) biocomposites. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented individual with a strong background in MOFs, biomacromolecules, and/or biochemistry to join our dynamic research team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct innovative research in the area of MOF biocomposites.
- Perform advanced techniques including X-ray diffraction and enzymatic assays.
- Design and plan experiments with precision and scientific rigor.
- Write high-quality scientific papers and assist in proposal development.
- Collaborate effectively within the research group and with external partners.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- PhD in Chemistry, Materials Science, Biochemistry, or a related field.
- Proven experience in MOFs, biomacromolecules, and/or biochemistry.
- Strong practical skills in X-ray diffraction and enzymatic assays.
- Excellent planning and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in scientific writing and communication.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Leadership Opportunity: Depending on the candidate's demonstrated skills and expertise, there is the potential to lead a subgroup within the research team.
Contract Duration: The position is initially offered for a short term, with the possibility of extension after a probation period, up to 6 years and the possibility of being involved in teaching activities.
