Dr.scient.med. Philipp Kainz MSc BSc

Philipp Kainz is working as a project assistant at the Institute of Computer Graphics and Vision at Graz University of Technology (TU Graz). He studied Health Care Engineering and eHealth at Graz University of Applied Sciences and Medical Science at the Medical University of Graz. At the moment Philipp Kainz is working on Medical Image Analysis with special regard to object detection, segmentation, classification and morphometry of histological and magnetic resonance images under the supervision of Prof. Horst Bischof and Dr. Martin Urschler. His research interest comprise the application of machine learning based computer vision in medical image analysis. Besides his activities at the TU Graz he is guest researcher at the Institute of Biophysics at the Medical University of Graz, and founder of KML vision OG.
