Christian Payer is a PhD student under the supervision of Prof. Horst Bischof at the Institute of Computer Graphics and Vision on the Technical University of Graz (TU-Graz). After finishing the master’s degree programme in Computer Science with specialization in Computer Vision and Multimedia Information Systems at the TU-Graz, he started with his PhD studies in 2015. Within the context of the Fully Automatic MRI-based age Estimation of adolescents (FAME) project, the goal of his dissertation is the research on novel methods based on computer vision and machine learning for radiological age estimation. His primary research interests lie in medical imaging, computer vision, machine learning, and convolutional neural networks. Besides being a PhD student he is interested in climbing, biking, skiing, music and movies.
