Numerical modelling and calculation of experiments is an indispensable complement to experiments. On the one hand, we simulate the experiment in the planning phase to avoid mistakes in the planning with costly consequences and, on the other hand, the numerical results are a valuable supplement to the measurement results in the interpretation and evaluation of the experiments.

In most cases we use the programme Abaqus for our simulations. It offers diverse and flexible possibilities for the creation of physical models in the field of scientific questions.
