DESIGN 2

In Design 2, the focus of knowledge transfer is on the mediation of urban and landscape structural elements and levels, as well as their content-related interactions. The students will be introduced to the analysis and interpretation of urban tissue in different scales and the understanding of its context at the location. The spatial production of a city on an open plot in an inner-city location will be tested. The relation to and handling of neighbouring urban structures leads from the content analysis to the urban strategy development to the urban design. The module focuses on the adequate form of presentation and communication of the respective discipline-related urban planning contents.
