Austrian Microdata Center

Statistics Austria offers a fee-based service for the use of microdata called Austrian Microdata Center (AMDC). Since TU Graz is accredited as a research institution for the use of this service, you can use it as a researcher (necessary budget required). In the context of cooperations, a list of currently authorised institutions can be accessed.

The next round for a funding programme of the Austrian Academy of Sciences (ÖAW) is expected to begin in March 2025. Projects approved to date and further information can be found here.

In addition, Statistics Austria offers a free database with open data on a wide range of topics. In addition to the microdata catalogue, it is recommended to search this database to see if it contains free data relevant to your research.
