Equipment@ICTM

Here you can find a yet not comprehensive overview on the equipment available at ICTM. Please feel free to contact ICTM if you are interested in any measurements. In particular, at ICTM solid-state spectroscopy is intensively used to study ionic transport processes in condesed matter. For this purpose, two Bruker NMR spectrometers are running in the Wilkening group. For electrical characterization the Wilkening group uses two Novocontrol broadband impedance spectrometers.

  • Cell of the Novocontrol Concept 80 spectrometer that allows us to measure conductivities down to 10-15 S/cm. Usually we measure the electrial response of a material over a dynamic range covering up to 10 decades (µHz to GHz regime, Agilent analyzer).
  • several high-temperature cells complement the setup
  • usually measurements are carried out at temperatures ranging from - 150 °C up to 250 °C
  • the Concept 40 spectrometer is connected to two potentiostats/galvanostats to carry out electrochemical measurements such as PITT, GITT etc.
