Learning, Recognition, and Surveillance (LRS) is a work-group focusing on visual perception tasks and machine learning, specialized in object recognition. Headed by Horst Possegger, the group consists of several PhD students concentrating on a variety of research topics, including object detection & tracking, domain adaptation, online/continuous learning, semantic segmentation, anomaly and out-of-distribution detection.
Medical Image Processing (MIP) is a work-group doing research in computer vision, image analysis and machine learning algorithms with the focus on clinical and forensic medical applications using localization, registration and segmentation methods.
The Robot Vision Group was a work-group headed by Matthias Rüther. Within the fruitful research environment of ICG, we conducted application-driven projects in Optical Metrology, Photogrammetry, Mobile Robotics and Industrial Robotics. Fruitful cooperations with more than 50 company partners led to cutting-edge research results, always with a mindset on practical applicability.
