The U-tube sensor of the DMA is filled with the sample. The sensor is oscillating at its neutral frequency. This frequency is dependent on the density of the sample. The instrument eliminates the influence of the sample’s viscosity and the temperature dependent drift of the sensor. Thus, density measurements with an accuracy of 0.00001 g/cm³ can be achieved.
