The bioindenter enables the local characterization of soft materials and biomaterials. Elastic modulus and hardness can be determined as well as time dependent properties and adhesion. Force is applied with an indenter with a flat or spherical tip and the resulting displacement is measured. The analysis can also be performed in liquids.
Determination of:
Elastic modulus
Hardness
Creep
Adhesive force
Relaxation
Samples:
Biological materials
Hydrogels
elastomers and soft polymers
Accessories:
Indenters with spherical Ruby tip (Ø 200 µm and 1000 µm)
Flat punch indenter (Ø 1 mm)
