The research activities of the faculty are focussed on fundamental research in Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Biochemistry and Biotechnology and Chemical and Process Engineering. The practice-oriented fundamental research ranges from basic laboratory research to process development and cover topics of Materials Science, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Drug Development, Food Analysis and Technology, Paper and Pulp Technology and Chemical and Pharmaceutical Process Engineering.
