Graz-µCT consortium is a collaboration project established by 13 institutes from three Universities (the Graz University of Technology, Karl Franzens University of Graz, Medical University Graz) and funded by FFG . The consortium aims to provide X-μCT devices, a tomographic data management scheme, and the infrastructure for materials science research for users from a wide variety of disciplines in Graz.
Our infrastructure will be used for basic research purposes with a focus on in-situ experiments. These experiments will enable measurements under controlled environmental conditions, such as temperature, gas phase, relative humidity, and mechanical stress. Research is planned in the fields of medicine, pharmaceutical research, geology, metallurgy, and paper. The new infrastructure will strengthen the research strategy of the Graz University of Technology, and the close cooperation within the consortium will open new fields of research, increasing the visibility of Austrian research facilities based in Graz.
Graz-µCT has direct and straightforward access to CyVerse Austria (CAT) and InvenioRDM, providing safe data storage, analysis, management, and publication for generated µCT files. Also, Graz-µCT is a part of the Tescan Collaboration Network.
