Immediately before and after the conference, we will offer conference participants the unique opportunity to visit the heart, also known as the "cathedral", of the 8.4 km long Central Storage Tunnel (CST) of the City of Graz, where up to 80 m³/s can be discharged into the river Mur during a 100-year precipitation event. The CST was built to significantly reduce the pollution loads spilled out into the river Mur during rain events by collecting the combined sewage discharged from 20 CSOs. It has a total storage capacity of 94 000 m³.
To ensure that as many participants as possible can take advantage of this opportunity, 3 guided technical tours will be offered. Two will be offered on Tuesday, 23 August, with the first starting at 13:00 and the second starting at 15:00. A final tour will take place on Friday, 26 August, immediately following the conference at 15:00.
For this purpose, a free bus transfer will be organized directly from the conference venue to the CST and back.
If you would like to participate in one of the tours, please select the tour that suits you when registering for the conference. We recommend bringing suitable footwear!
