Program Overview – Summer School 2025

This Summer School offers a diverse blend of company visits, hands-on laboratory work, and culinary experiences. Participants gain valuable insights into food production, processing, and analytics—combining traditional methods with innovative technologies across different regions of Austria.

 


 

Company Visits and Excursions

  • NÖM AG (near Vienna)
    Visit to one of Austria’s leading dairy companies, focusing on modern milk processing, hygiene and quality assurance, packaging technologies, and sustainability efforts in the dairy industry. For more Infoformation click here.

  • Winery Stadlmann (Thermenregion)
    Family-owned traditional winery known for local grape varieties such as Zierfandler and Rotgipfler. Guided tour of the vineyard and cellar with insights into viticulture, fermentation, storage, and sensory evaluation. For more Infoformation click here

  • Silberberg Agricultural School (Southern Styria)
    Center for fruit processing, viticulture, and regional agriculture. Demonstration of fruit-to-product transformation (juices, cider, spirits), with discussions on local value chains and product marketing. For more Infoformation click here

  • Hartlieb Oil Mill (Heimschuh, Styria)

  • Zotter Chocolate Factory (Riegersburg)
