The Institute of Structural Analysis
The Institute of Structural Analysis at Graz University of Technology was founded in 1912 and was just recently celebrating its
100th anniversary. Structural analysis plays a major role in the education and practice of civil engineers - no matter whether constructions are built in wood, concrete or steel. The
courses of the institute cover the whole span from conventional calculations to computer-based simulation methods such as the Finite Element Method. Computer simulations are in the focus of the
research of the institute.
