Verbund Innovation Day 2024

This year's VERBUND Innovation Day in Vienna took place under the motto "Powering Tomorrow Today".

This event provides a platform for knowledge exchange and networking with leading minds from science and industry.

Sonja Wogrin was invited as a keynote speaker on the topic of "Energy Systems of the Future", which was a wonderful opportunity to present the Research Center ENERGETIC, the LEGO model developed by our institute and our research projects to a broad audience.

For example, as part of the InfraTrans2040 project, three expansion scenarios were worked out for planning the Austrian energy future up to the year 2040 in the areas of electricity, gas, hydrogen and heat.

This presentation was followed by a panel on the topic of "Focusing on the future: prospects for change". There, Sonja Wogrin discussed innovations in the industry with Solveig Menard-Galli, COO Wienerberger and Oliver Holle, Managing Partner Speedinvest. The panel was moderated by Franz Zöchbauer, Head of Innovation at VERBUND.
