From Research Talks to Mountain Walks: Highlights from Our Teambuilding Trip

In mid-May 2024, our institute enjoyed a teambuilding trip to Haus im Ennstal, staying in a charming hut where we engaged in a mix of activities.

In the mid of May 2024, our institute went on a teambuilding trip to Haus im Ennstal together. We have organized a charming hut where we could spend a wonderful time together, filled with a mix of teambuilding-activities & -games, discussing our research, doing some sports together and cooking afterwards.
 
In the spirit of learning and sharing, we held a small presentation competition where each of us presented their research topics. This helped both with updating us all on the progress we made so far, as well as being able to practice our presentation skills. It led to lively discussions, giving us new insights into each other's projects.
 
Regarding sports, we embarked on a hike through the breathtaking surroundings of the hut each day.  Although challenging for some of us, these hikes offered plenty of opportunities for engaging conversations. We also tried our hand at bouldering, discovering some hidden climbing talents among our team members! On top of that, we also visited the local “Schladminger” brewery, where we toured the facility, learned about the brewing process, and sampled some excellent craft beers. 
 
Overall, this retreat was not just about teambuilding; it was about creating valuable memories and strengthening the bonds that make our institute such a special place. We look forward to many more shared adventures and successes!
