As part of the geocolloquium on measuring the energy transition, Sonja Wogrin gave a presentation entitled "LEGO - a digital twin of the Austrian energy system".
In response to Europe's evolving energy system and the challenges posed by climate change, Sonja Wogrin discussed the Low-Carbon Expansion Generation Optimization (LEGO) model. LEGO is a versatile open-source tool carefully designed to perform techno-economic analysis of the energy sector, essentially serving as the digital twin of the energy system.
