In May 2024, Asier Divasson Jaureguibarria from the Universidad de Deusto visited the Institute for Electricity Economics and Energy Innovation (IEE) for a research stay. This visit was part of the V2G-QUESTS project and was an important step in fostering collaboration and exchanging scientific knowledge.
Objectives of the Visit
Mr. Divasson Jaureguibarria worked closely with our V2G-QUESTS team, consisting of Robert Gaugl, Kelvin Walenta, and Sonja Wogrin. The main objective of his stay was to discuss and further develop the integration of the agent-based driving behavior model with the LEGO energy optimization system. This integration is crucial for enhancing the system's efficiency and functionality, thereby making a significant contribution to research in the field of vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technologies and power system modeling.
Collaboration and Exchange
Mr. Divasson Jaureguibarria brought his expertise in agent-based modeling, which was of great importance for the advancement of the V2G-QUESTS project. The intensive exchange of ideas and collaborative work on specific issues led to valuable insights and set important impulses for future research.
Particularly noteworthy were the discussions about integrating the driving behavior model into the LEGO energy optimization system. These discussions focused on optimizing the interfaces and improving data flows between the models. Mr. Divasson Jaureguibarria played a key role in identifying potential solutions to existing challenges and developing initial implementation concepts.
Results and Outlook
Mr. Divasson Jaureguibarria's visit was highly successful and led to significant progress in the V2G-QUESTS project. The close collaboration advanced both theoretical and practical aspects of model integration. The developed concepts and solutions will be further refined and implemented in the coming months.
The Universidad de Deusto and the IEE plan to continue this exchange and initiate further joint research visits.
We thank Mr. Divasson Jaureguibarria for his valuable contribution and look forward to continued collaboration within the V2G-QUESTS project.
