Robert Gaugl and Thomas Klatzer participated in the 33rd European Conference on Operations Research EURO 2024.
At the 33rd European Conference on Operations Research (EURO 2024), Robert Gaugl and Thomas Klatzer presented their latest research results and thus contributed to the further development of their field.
Robert Gaugl presented his study "Assessing the Energy and Socio-Economic Impacts of Renewable Energy Expansion in Austria by 2030". In his talk, he analyzed the potential impacts of renewable energy expansion on the Austrian economy and society by 2030. The results of his research provide valuable insights into the potential benefits and challenges of the energy transition in Austria.
Thomas Klatzer presented his work entitled "A Tight Approach on Piecewise Linear Pipeline Gas Flow Modeling with Linepack". In his presentation, he highlighted innovative methods for modeling gas flows in pipeline systems that can be optimized by using piecewise linear approaches and considering linepack. This research helps to improve the efficiency and reliability of gas transportation systems.
The participation of Robert Gaugl and Thomas Klatzer in EURO 2024 not only demonstrates their commitment to research in the field of operations research, but also the relevance of their work to current and future challenges in the energy industry. The conference in Copenhagen provided an ideal platform for exchanging knowledge and discussing new scientific findings with colleagues from across Europe.
