The institute offers courses in the Bachelor’s Degree Programme “Civil Engineering and Construction Management” as well as in the Master’s Degree Programme “Civil Engineering - Infrastructure”. The portfolio of courses aims to teach students about the railway-system and the interaction of infrastructure, operation, and cost effectiveness.The focus of the lecture “Railway Engineering Basics” are aspects of structural elements in railway engineering. Basic interactions in the railway system are discussed as well.
Mandatory courses in the Master’s Degree Programme “Civil Engineering Infrastructure” cover a focus on structural issues as well as economic basics. Specific optional courses cover track management technology, operational issues in railways and the interfaces vehicle/track and infrastructure/operation/TOC. Courses for cable car engineering and air transport as well as analysis of railway accidents complete the offer. Furthermore, Bachelor- and Master-Projects allow students to put their knowledge into practice.
