On the site of the Neue [Land] Gut in Favoriten, a sustainable urban quarter is to be created that reflects the nature of the location. On the approx. 9 hectare site, which was formerly dedicated to freight transportation, there is now an opportunity to integrate the area into the context of the city.

We see the proximity to Vienna's main railway station as a potential to create innovative solutions for the development of this new urban quarter and to have a positive impact on the social and ecological factors of the neighborhood. The main question here is how to transform one of the last large, unsealed inner-city areas in Vienna, as an area of this size must be realized in harmony with the ecological requirements of a climate-resilient city.
