The overall perception of the papers and presentation at the conference was “good” to “very good”. This was also reflected in the feedback by the participants (Professors, Scientific Assistants, Industry representatives etc.) during and after the conference. It has to be pointed out that concepts and developed technologies presented had a high degree of novelty and advance the research in the field of Learning Factories. However, to further improve the quality of the papers for future conferences, there should be a stronger focus on scientific methodology. Shorter poster presentations for concept-contributions has proven to be beneficial, as scientific papers could be discussed more in detail. Based on the feedback of the participants and particularly the IALF members, it can be concluded that the conference was a great success.
