We are looking for a PhD candidate (40h/week) to join our team in the field of Carbon Capture and Utilization (CCU). This position focuses on evaluating and characterizing alternative solvents for CO₂ capture, aiming to improve the energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental impact of industrial-scale carbon capture systems.
Your responsibilities:
- Research on CO₂ chemisorption using innovative solvents
- Experimental study of mass transfer and absorption kinetics
- Model development for material and energy balances
- Transfer of findings to a technical-scale plant
- Collaboration with industrial partners
Your profile:
- Master’s degree in Process Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Chemistry
- Knowledge of chemical reaction engineering and separation processes
- Interest in reactive separation and process intensification
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
- Proficient in data analysis tools and MS Office
