Results Workshop 2 SS22

This year's Workshop 2 was held by Georg Hansemann, Robert Schmid and Andreas Trummer in the Robotics Laboratory of the Institute of Structural Design at Inffeldgasse 24. The course dealt with the design and fabrication of 3D printed concrete furniture. Within one week the students learned the basics of additive manufacturing with the material concrete. This made it possible to translate the projects designed in group work into functioning print paths on a 1:1 scale. The printing facility of the company Baumit, which has been operated in cooperation since 2020 and forms the core of several research focuses at ITE, was used for this purpose.

The resulting projects were exhibited during the "Sommerfest" of the Faculty of Architecture.
