VR systems consist of several devices like Head Mounted Displays (HMDs) controllers and trackers. For the use of VR gear in mixed reality applications the pose of all devices has to be determined with high accuracy. Inverstigations using the testing facilities in the IGMS lab demonstrate that the position and orientation performance are distance and orientation dependent. For these investigations several test setups with high accurate reference readings are available. The setups include rotation platforms, the horizontal comparator and other 3D positioning systems.
