Merit-based Scholarships 2023/2024: The Faculty awards merit-based scholarships once a year to students who have achieved above-average academic success. In this way, the scholarships serve as recognition of outstanding academic achievements. Registration is now available.

Promotional Scholarships 2024: Promotional scholarships are awarded twice a year to degree students to provide support in writing academic theses. The prerequisite for being awarded a promotional scholarship is good academic success. Registration is now available.

Dean' List 2023
The Dean of Computer Science and Biomedical Engineering, Gernot Müller-Putz, is proud to publish the 2023 Dean's List. The list features the top 5% students of their respective study program and semester. Each student received a certificate commemorating their outstanding achievements.
Furthermore, the Scholarship worth 12.000€ was awarded! Oliver Christoph Popa won the Dean´s List Scholarship due to extraordinary achievements within his bachelor degree. Congratulations to Oliver Christoph Popa!

"Sexual harassment at the university concerns us all: If you get too close, you go too far!"
The new INFOPORTAL on sexual harassment and sexual violence provides comprehensive information and services for all students and staff. Sexual harassment is still a taboo subject about which there is still a lot of ignorance. In the portal you will find answers to questions such as: What is sexual harassment? Where can those affected get support? How can you react? What responsibilities do managers have? What can people who perceive sexual harassment in their environment do?

“Sustainability in Computer Science“ - The new public lecture series in Austria
Be part of the new public online lecture series on SUSTAINABILITY IN COMPUTER SCIENCE, starting this winter semester.
More information and access to the zoom link.
TU Graz students can register to get credits for LV 705.222 “Selected Topics of Science, Technology and Society (Sustainability in Computer Science)” via TUGonline.
Depending on your study program, the lecture series is a free elective or a “Wahlmodul (in CS, SEM and ICE)".

Forum Technology and Society: 2024 Award for Dissertations and Master's Theses at TU Graz.
Many final theses in engineering studies have high societal and/or social relevance, which should be made more visible to the public with the award of the sponsorship prize. The Forum's sponsorship award is also an award for the authors of the best theses. All dissertations and master's theses completed at TU Graz between 01.02.2023 and 31.01.2024 are eligible to participate. 2024 prize money € 10.500 in total. In addtion, prize money, financed from the proceeds of the Ball of Technology, will be awarded for theses by female students as part of the "Designing Woman Engineers" award.

Brief information on the T³UG holiday job program:
Pupils aged 15 and over can apply for holiday jobs at TU Graz at the Fem in Tech info day in February. The program is basically aimed at schoolgirls to get them interested in technology and science. If suitable positions are available, these are also awarded to pupils from cooperating schools of TU Graz.

Scholarship David-Herzog-Fond
The aim of David-Herzog-Fond grants has always been and continues to be the promotion and support of intercultural understanding and learning - especially with regard to Jewish culture. The David-Herzog-Fond supports the work of scientists, students and artists through four program tracks and is supported by all Styrian universities since it was established in 2005.
Deadline: Submission is possible at any time
The management board decides every six months on applications received (June and December).

Doctoral Examinations

Info: Candidates can take the final examination (presentation and oral exam) online via video conference call (e.g. Webex) if all parties involved agree. The requirement of publicity can be ensured as follows: Candidates may distribute the meeting link; requests to participate in the video exam can also be sent by e-mail to the chairperson of the exam commission.
