Stefan Haun has been appointed University Professor for Hydraulic Engineering, Water Resources Management and Hydraulics at the Institute of Hydraulic Engineering and Water Resources Management at Graz University of Technology on 1 January 2025. He received his Ph.D. in Hydraulic and Environmental Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, Trondheim, Norway, in 2012 and led the Hydraulic Engineering Laboratory at the University of Stuttgart from 2019 to 2024. His research focuses on morphodynamic processes in rivers and reservoirs, ecological restoration of anthropogenic watercourses and integrated flood protection.
